World Environment Day Celebration

As an expression of love and care for the Nature and our environment, on 5th June 2014, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Wayanad Kendra celebrated World Environment Day. Different programs were organised by the students to demonstrate their concern for the environment. The program started with the Environment Day Oath by the School Leader Swathi Ragesh to all the students and staff. The theme of this year’s Environment Day was “Raise your voice and not the sea level” Planting tree was initiated by the students and Head Mistress planting a sapling in a pot from the stage during the morning assembly. This was followed by a small message role play by 7th standard students-Veda C Dinesh and Ida Sebastian depicting the importance of conducting World Environment Day every year. Also there were talks by Swathi Rajesh of XI and Athena S Joseph of 8th standard enlightening the importance of preserving our environment.
